DIY de studio creation (5)

There were two difficult points.

(1) Manhole in front of the washroom

(2) Traces of a straight wall in front of the toilet

(1) How to hide a gently rising manhole cover made of iron (rusted).

At first I tried to hide it with drainboards. I cut the legs of the drainboard to match the curve of the bulge and laid a carpet over it.

Many people commented that it was easy to trip over the bumps, so we had to start over.

I looked for a rug that was thick enough to not feel the texture of a steel manhole cover under my feet.

I decided to try out the fluffy kitchen mat that I also use at home!

I realized that the unevenness of the wall marks was more of a problem than the texture of the manhole cover.

I'm going to fill it up and try to deceive it (I'm in trouble).

Even if you fill it, it will feel like it's going to dent, but it's not dangerous, so it's OK.

I bought a Nitori kitchen mat and stuck it on the floor.

Anyway, solved.

(2) There are straight wall marks, but if you fill the dented areas and cover them with flooring tiles, you'll be fine!

The difficult spot is near the manhole where a bundle of cords grows from under the floor, lies flat, and rises toward the ceiling.

It's a problem when I'm lying down above the floor😭

You cannot create a flat floor.

At first, I bought something like a semicircular rain gutter and tried hiding the cords, but I couldn't secure it properly.

It also makes it easier to trip.

In the end, I decided to cover it up with the fluffy kitchen mat I mentioned earlier.

The edges of the kitchen mat are held down with curing tape to prevent them from getting caught.

If it gets dirty, replace it immediately!
